I know I’m too much.
Sometimes I talk too loud, laugh too loud, bounce around too much, or get too riled up. Probably more than sometimes.
I didn’t realize until this year that that isn’t the problem. See, you’re only too much for the friendships and relationships not deep enough to sustain you. I know I’m too much, and I just don’t care. You’ll never be too much for the people that are just right for you. They will love the ways that make you different, the same way they love you as a whole. It’s okay if you’ve ever been told you’re too much, because the Lord our God says you are far more precious than rubies and silver. He says you are fearfully and wonderfully made, in His image. And that is the only voice that matters.
The second drop of Daisy’s journey back to the beginning is called Unapologetically. See, I love people that march to the beat of their own drum and refuse to conform to the ways of the world. I love people who are unapologetically themselves. People that know they’re different and rejoice in the uniqueness of God’s creations. I believe that’s the way everyone should live, full of life and light. People that let their cup overflow, instead of worrying about being “too much”.
If you’ve ever been told you’re too much for the tables you sit at, c’mon on over and join our table. There’s room for everybody here. Laugh too hard. Talk too much. Cry too much. Be in the moment. Be unapologetically you. That’s what the world needs. Don’t water yourself down. Stay rich in yourself.
